Manage the oversight of Columbia Threadneedle Investments North American institutional and WRAP client fee billing to ensure the accuracy of investment management fees and compliance with business and Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") controls. Act as the subject matter expert on North American institutional and WRAP client billing and investment management fees. Serve as the primary liaison between Ameriprise Corporate Receivables and Columbia Threadneedle Investments lines of business and clients on billing and management fee matters.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform the day-to-day function of fee billing oversight for institutional and WRAP clients, including:
  • Track, monitor and ensure completion of all fee-related matters for new clients, client changes and client terminations, including: (1) working with relationship managers and clients to confirm and document the fee methodology, account requirements and invoicing process; (2) ensuring Ameriprise Corporate Receivables is provided with all necessary information for fee calculations and invoicing; (3) verifying the accuracy of client changes on the fee billing system.
  • Monitor the timeliness and quality of institutional and WRAP client invoices to ensure best in class client service; manage the timely and accurate delivery of invoices to clients and other third parties.
  • Serve as expert resource for internal clients regarding institutional and WRAP management fees, providing reporting and client service support on client fee-related matters, including: (1) researching and resolving issues related to billing, compliance, and contractual requirements; (2) ongoing reporting of client fees and past-due invoices; (3) responding accurately and timely to requests for institutional and WRAP client fee-related information.
  • Manage oversight of institutional and WRAP client fee billing for SOX and business controls to ensure (1) billing practices are achieved with quality, accuracy, and timeliness; and (2) client fee billing processes/procedures are working as designed to meet policies and regulatory requirements. Organize and manage SOX control program to ensure timely execution of tests, documentation, and approvals. Facilitate and lead cross-organization meetings for quarterly review of fee-related client changes. Work with leader to respond to annual external audits and internal risk and compliance reviews.
  • Contribute to projects to identify areas of process improvement to mitigate risk, create efficiencies and reduce errors. Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining tools to ensure accurate and timely reporting and minimize manual work.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, management of day-to-day activities, and performance management for one direct report.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong PC skills with strong emphasis on spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline oriented environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team focused work attitude


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with separately managed account products
  • Strong written communication skills
