ASPAC Regional Team
As part of the regional team, you will play an integral role in helping KPMG member firms meet Trust and Growth ambitions, promoting consistency and collaboration, so that KPMG becomes the Clear Choice for clients and talent. This role presents an exciting opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders across member firms throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Role Location
Preference to be based in Shanghai but flexible within Asia Pacific region.
About the role
Consulting Service Line Support (70%)
  • Support development & execution of the regional consulting strategy and annual business planning
  • Manage and/or support regional governance forums to help drive regional consulting strategy execution
  • Provide support to regional Consulting Service Line with a focus on Customer & Operations
  • Provide support to regional Service Line leadership to define growth plans, cascade relevant information and support opportunities as they arise
  • Proactively engage with member-firms to support strategic deals, growth initiatives and investments, where applicable
  • Support regional go-to-market opportunities, where applicable
  • Support regional activation activities associated with consulting priority solutions, including Connected Enterprise and Powered Enterprise
  • Help promote the use of consulting priority solutions within regional Service Line networks
  • Support regional marketing and communications by engaging with the regional and member firm teams to supply timely and relevant content
Consulting Knowledge Management (10%)
  • Proactively surface credentials for landmark engagements in core capability / proposition areas and maintain a database of credentials & use cases on an ongoing basis
  • Proactively surface and maintain information around key SMEs in ASPAC, working with national leaders to capture information as they are on-boarded and ensure that regional leaders of related networks are aware of them
  • Develop and maintain template slides detailing ASPAC consulting key data and propositions for inclusion in marketing and communications related materials
ASPAC Advisory Support (20%)
  • Work closely with other regional resources to support regional Advisory, Analyst Relations, KPMG Delivery Network (KDN)/Offshore and Alliance-related initiatives, as required.
  • Support growth across priority sectors, solutions, and accounts by engaging with other regional resources and leaders to activate strategies and provide input where required
  • Undertake regular competitor analysis to identify new areas of opportunity and where defensive responses are required
Skill and Experience
The successful candidate must be able to operate in a matrix organisation and can work collaboratively and influence the actions of the partners and staff across the ASPAC region. The candidate needs to have critical thinking and analytical skills as well as the ability to think creatively and explore diverse ways of working to accelerate KPMG's trust and growth agenda. Strong and proven project management skills must be combined with resilience, cultural awareness, and diplomacy to achieve stakeholder engagement.
  • Previous experience working in consulting or digital transformation within a professional service or corporate environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a Project Management team, implementing strategic initiatives or organizational change/transformation projects.
  • Experience in developing / managing successful Marketing and Communications campaigns a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project reporting skills. Able to develop metrics, analyse data, report KPIs and follow up with people on a timely basis for status updates.
  • Motivated, pro-active, and hard-working team player who is results driven, action oriented and outcomes focused.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage numerous projects simultaneously across multiple time zones and deliver within set timeframes.
  • Strong and proven relationship building skills, able to hold their own with senior leaders.
  • Cultural awareness and understanding are essential. Previous experience of working across functions and geographies will help you succeed.
  • Able and available to travel internationally in the range of 5-10% once Covid restrictions are relaxed.
