Financial Control Division - Business Performance and Management Information
Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Planning Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Provide insight and analytical support to Senior Planning Manager in budgeting, forecasting and analysis of existing businesses performance and identify opportunity for improvement.
  • Support the cost forecasting / planning process and provide assessment of all budgets and cost projections.
  • Prepare budget and forecast management reports, and analyze financial data in a timely, consistent and accurate manner.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of internal control policies and procedure, cost saving, approval control, budgetary control and financial strategies in business.
  • Prepare periodic review and recommendations for methods of improving financial planning processes, delivering efficiency enhancements and cost savings.
  • Proactively digitize our processes with the use of technology.
  • Provide information as required for budget monitoring purposes, and the impacts on Financial Resources Planning ("FRP") / Latest Estimates ("LE") as a result of any organization structural changes, adoption of Group policy and guideline.
  • Work closely with a wide range of key stakeholders and build healthy working relationships based on trust.
Requirements
  • Agile, change mind-set, dynamic and inquisitive approach to work.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration OR a related discipline, with a recognized qualification such as ACCA or HKICPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably with understanding to the FRP process and business performance analytical skills. Experience of running cost forecasting and FRP would be an advantage.
  • Exceptional drive and commitment, ability to work and thrive in a fast changing and results driven environment, and proven ability in handling competing priorities.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills, as well as good decision making and problem solving ability.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
