Global Macro Hedge Fund strategist - VP/Director - Emerging markets FI/FX - New York

The fund are looking for a true global strategist, able to be opportunistic with the markets and make both short and long term predictions.

Your responsibilities will include:-

• Lead Strategist for the global macro fund with multi-billion $AUM.
• Responsible for alpha generation primarily within G10 and EM rates and FX and secondary coverage of other liquid asset classes
• Idea generation and implementation, sizing and risk management
• Fundamental macro research, macro strategy and market commentary

Applicants must have experience working in a buy side firm previously on a macro fund/strategy, ideally as the lead strategist to the primary risk taker.

The firm have been highly successful over the last few years and have seen AUM rise significantly year on year.

The team are highly experienced figures in the Discretionary Macro space and looking for a Similarly successful individual to join their group.

A successful individual will demonstrate the ability to produce and defend investment ideas. You should be able to identify trade ideas and dive deep into the drivers from both an economics and political stand point.

As a true strategist you should be prepared to 'own' your trade ideas and effectively take risk in the fund.

Derivatives experience is a plus.
