We are quite different than the vast majority of other investment management companies in multiple ways. First, we always invest our personal capital alongside our Clients. We have more than $500mm of our personal capital committed to our investment vehicles. We provide access to our Clients to co-invest with us in these vehicles, which we believe provide the best opportunities for our families’ and our Shareholders money. Second, because of the scale of our investments, we have access to opportunities that would otherwise not be available to investors with less than $250mm - $500mm of investable assets. Quite simply, there are many investments we can provide for our Clients they could never access on their own. Third, and what we believe is the most unique feature of our firm, almost all of our compensation is earned only if an investor makes money. In many cases, if our Clients do not make money, we don’t get paid. This ultimate alignment of interests is why we focus on finding the absolute best risk/reward opportunities available.

Director of Business Development

The Investment Strategy team is focused on expanding the capital base of our Network of Investors and this role will primarily oversee a growing group of Investment Strategy Managers (“ISM’s”) who are focused on serving and expanding our Client base. Our Network of Investors consists of more than 2,300 investors in 47 states and 13 countries, and includes High Net Worth Individuals, Investment Advisors, Wealth Management Firms, Institutions and Family Offices.

The person in this role is expected to lead a Team of ISM’s that are primarily focused on growing our presence in the financial intermediary market. Within that market, we would expect this leader to mainly focus on increasing the number of Investment Advisors, Wealth Managers, and Multi-Family Offices who allocate their client’s assets to our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ISM’s process of growing their pipeline and winning new relationships Provide coaching and enhancement techniques to increase ISM’s success Employ a robust accountability process for Team members Assist with the hiring and development of additional ISM’s Provide regular reporting and business plans directly to the Management Committee and Chairman

Success as a Director in the Investment Strategies team will be measured by your:

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a business development team Quantum of new intermediary groups and assets added to our ecosystem Contribution by the group to the overall success of the Firm

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of experience in the management of business development teams in the financial services industry Outgoing personality and the ability to interact with rooms full of people with confidence Significant knowledge of complex investment vehicles, with an emphasis on alternative investments preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines Exceptional organizational and written communication skills and exacting attention to detail Strong CRM software skills, with Salesforce experience preferred

Compensation Structure:

  • Guaranteed Compensation will be commensurate with experience Quarterly bonuses based on the value added to the organization Participation in the carried interest and incentive fees earned by the Firm, in addition to Profit Sharing and the opportunity to earn equity in the business
