Team Overview

Within Alternatives Operations, the Global Alternative Investment Services (GAIS) team supports the investment & client onboarding, trade lifecycle, cash management, client reporting, and other recurring & ad-hoc functions for a wide range of alternative investments across all private asset classes and throughout the capital structure.

Daily tasks may include:

• Support the onboarding of new alternative investor mandates, investments, and vehicles, including informing & implementing processes for investment/trade lifecycle management, cash management, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Provide trade support and execution functions for private investment funds, including monitoring internal and external teams to ensure accurate and timely execution.
• Work with portfolio management teams to facilitate cash management, capital activity, and investment funding processes.
• Liaise with external service providers, internal team members and other BlackRock groups to resolve operational issues.
• Identify opportunities for technological innovation and enhancements to processes
• Identify risk areas and implement/improve risk-mitigating controls.

Experience

• Experience in investment operations or accounting for alternative investments preferred
• Excel proficiency with experience or desire to automate and leverage technology.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organised and able to adapt to variable deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding work ethic and accountability with a desire to grow within BlackRock and contribute beyond the role requirements listed above.
