About this role
Data & AI ensures that all portfolio information (Core Enterprise Data) necessary for the investment management process is complete, accurate, timely and effectively controlled using the latest technology and tools. Data & AI provides information services and solutions in support of all BlackRock and BlackRock Solutions businesses.
The Pricing & Economy Group is responsible for the collection and validation of market prices for all assets and liabilities held in led portfolios, as well as for the distribution of those prices to accounting agents and custodians, where appropriate. Responsibilities also include oversight of third-party accounting agents and custodian security pricing methodologies for proprietary commingled products, as well as daily verification of OTC derivative valuations. In addition, the team collects a wide range of market data including FX rates, interest rates, inflation levels, mortgage data and volatility data.
This role will assist in delivering on the vision for Data & AI, especially for quality control of evaluated bond pricing data. The candidate will be required to advocate the use of technology to craft innovative solutions to help achieve an elite data quality process.

Responsibilities:
- Defining and Driving Toward Target State Pricing Ecosystem- Work in partnership with Data & AI - Data Ops teams to develop requirements, test and implement next generation pricing process and controls.
- Daily Valuation Control - respond to issues arising from the daily quality control process that require expert assistance
- Project Management - Maintain inventory of active projects and technology requests, and execute to meet agreed delivery dates
- Vendor Management - Partner with pricing vendors and fund administrators to develop and maintain a high quality, end-to-end pricing supply chain
- Policy & Process - Develop and drive adherence to quality control procedures. Support the organization and oversight of Pricing governance bodies.
- Ad hoc Requests - assist team with data requests, trainings and demos, business continuity efforts, valuation Committee minutes and other activities that ensure smooth running of the Global Pricing & Economy team
Knowledge/Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in financial services, especially in either producing or controlling evaluated bond pricing or derivatives
- Direct knowledge of fixed income instruments, familiar with evaluation methodologies from vendors such as Bloomberg, ICE Data Services, Markit, JPM Pricing Direct and Refinitiv
- Fluency with pricing tools such as those found on Aladdin, Bloomberg terminals, etc
- Direct knowledge of fund administration and/or fund accounting is preferred
- Advanced skills in Excel, plus data management tools such as SQL. Python experience is a plus
- Aladdin experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is preferred, but not limited to
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills including ability to function effectively within a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask
- Proven track record in delivering on major projects with little oversight
- Strong financial and quantitative abilities, including attention to detail and affinity for data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to deliver presentations, coordinate across the firm, and work in a different location than other team members
- Sound judgment, professionalism and discretion
- Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines and constraints
