The Location: Houston

The Impact: Our consultants are "Power Users" of S&P Global products, capable of conducting a wide range of energy industry workflows at the highest standards of rigor and speed. We provide bespoke research and advisory services, combining deep industry and technical expertise, with top-tier strategy, commercial and investment banking experience. Our Analysts and Consultants network and collaborate with various S&P Global subject matter experts around the world in the planning and delivery of consulting projects, as well as market development activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to support bespoke consulting projects
  • Contribute to and work with consulting teams across disciplines such as agriculture, chemicals, automotive, international markets
  • Participate in consulting project client virtual meetings
  • Support senior staff in business development activities
What We're Looking For: Candidates should demonstrate keen interest in, and familiarity with, the energy sector, either through relevant post-graduate studies or internship experience (i.e., industry, banking, or consulting), ideally, with a large or leading organization. Successful candidates must also show technical proclivity through either their experience or education.
A bachelor or master's degree (or equivalent) in engineering, economics or finance
Preferable between 0-5 years of relevant work experience
Excellent communication and time management skills, including the ability to deliver on firm deadlines
Able to communicate also in Spanish and/or Portuguese
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, and PPT)
Ability to handle several projects simultaneously

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,300 to $115,850. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
