Your new role
• Perform end to end supplier statement reconciliation to identify and analyze variances, communicate with external and internal stakeholders to take appropriate action, resolve discrepancies and achieve on time payment to suppliers.
• Analyse freight and duty suppliers' statement to resolve discrepancy to achieve accurate payment.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation
• Assist on bank reconciliation, follow up and resolve outstanding items.
• Perform GST reviews to ensure GST is counted accurately.
• Assist in other areas of the Accounts Payable function as required to achieve team's KPI.

Your new role

What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary degree in accounting preferred
- Must have 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience with exposure to vendor statement reconciliation.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
- Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
- Strong MS Excel skills. (V-Lookups and Pivot tables)
- Must have a strong work ethic and display a strong sense of urgency.
- Display a positive "can do" attitude.
- Resilience and perseverance.
- Ability to take responsibility for one's own performance, be able to sets goals and expectations and is able to report on progress.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
