AVP Loan Operations

As a Barclays Loan Operations AVP, this is an exciting time to join the Wholesale Lending Transaction Cycle area, who are part of CIB Operations. The Transaction Cycle has core UK and India site presence. You will have oversight of KRI and SLA into the region and participation on cross-asset governance calls, with business managers and trading desk heads alongside line teams. Liaising and interacting directly with internal and external clients and attending client service review calls to represent Loan Operations is just part of the role.

What will you be doing?

• Partner with Global Organization to track and drive change within the organization's infrastructure thus reducing escalations and improving process efficiency and control
• Perform detailed analysis on client operational issues; this includes identifying control gaps; re-engineering of processes to resolve ongoing issues
• Change Champion leading a culture of optimisation, sustainability and improved efficiency.
• Managing the control environment effectively by employing appropriate governance of Risk, Control and Performance Indicators
• Ensuring financial and operational performance objectives are met by driving strong risk management/automation/efficiency and people/career development programs
• Ensuring delivery & embedment of key strategic direction & plans is managed in a manner that delivers business benefits and minimising any negative impact upon colleagues etc
• Maintaining excellent relationships within Wholesale Lending, wider business partners and internal/external stakeholders

• Excellent communications skills, confident with the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels
• Excellent analytical skills and evaluative judgement, must undertake Operational impact assessments and data analysis with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent prioritisation time management skills: ability to multi-task and prioritise workload in a high pressured environment
• Leadership and organisational skills to direct activities for multiple teams servicing complex products across various markets and business units

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Two-three years Loan Operations experience supporting institutional lending driven by markets, investment banking and corporate banking businesses, including
• Good knowledge of Reconciliations, Facility Agreements and Loan Booking with exceptional understanding of risk and controls
• Proven experience in managing and/or overseeing Change delivery and proven experience in a large scale Operational environments
• Exceptional understanding of recent market changes with regards to Risk Free Rates
