BlackRock is currently seeking professionals at the Analyst/Associate level to become part of

our team.

Team Overview

The CLO Admin team is responsible for implementing controls and processes to ensure compliance with all BlackRock managed Collateral Loan Obligations ("CLO") in the Americas. The team fulfills this mission primarily by analyzing and monitoring CLO investment guidelines using BlackRock's proprietary system Aladdin, along with 3rd party software and internally developed models. We are engaged with and provide innovative services to many other departments and functions across the firm, including portfolio management, client services, trading, technology, operations and legal.

Role Responsibility

Responsibilities are dynamic, but typically include:
  • Investment monitoring of BlackRock managed CLOs and other Structured Products utilizing excel models and WSO Compliance including review of daily, monthly report and waterfall distribution reports and investment guidelines
  • Read and interpret complex transaction documents and legal language in Credit Agreements and Indentures
  • Working closely with portfolio management and other partners to support the growing CLO business.
  • Analysis and report preparation of ad hoc requests from portfolio managers, client service and various internal teams.
  • Build relationships with third-party service providers to oversee service levels and enhance their reporting abilities
  • Becoming acquainted with BlackRock's various Aladdin applications, trade flow

process, compliance, and data environment
  • Participating in efficiency and improvement initiatives by providing ideas and

Knowledge / Experience:
  • College graduates with a background in finance or similar fields are preferred and three [3] years of experience in related occupation.
  • Previous CLO experience from a back/middle-office manager or third-party service provider
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and markets is required (Corporate Loans, Bonds, Structured Products, Equities).
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills are required (Macros, Formulas, Pivot Tables).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (such as Visual Basic) and an understanding of relational database concepts (including SQL) are beneficial.

- Strong IT Skills specifically excel

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to communicate efficiently to peers and senior colleagues of the CLO business

- Organized, detail oriented and extremely thorough with strong problem-solving skills and -demonstrated ability to take initiative

- Dedicated approach to issue resolution

- Ability to recognize individual and team objectives and goals
