Jon Michel Executive Search is exclusively partnering with an established and successful Australian Private Equity firm to assist them in their search for an Investment Director. With a substantial base of assets and a strong capital pool to invest from, the Fund is actively seeking to continue to source, invest in and partner with strong, established mid-market businesses across Australia and New Zealand. As investors, they partner with management teams on a strategic path to sustainable change, profitable growth and a better future beyond their stewardship, whilst remaining dedicated to delivering investor returns.
The Director role is responsible for the project management of the evaluation of investment opportunities from the origination process through to the deal execution process, as well as being involved in the ongoing management of the Portfolio Companies that will see the development of strategic and business plans including initiatives to improve ESG outcomes and also through the delivery of select strategic projects and M&A. Also central to the role will be the continued development of the Investment Associates in the team and positive contribution to team culture.
To be successful you will likely have gained 10+ years' professional experience, ideally with time spent in a Private Equity investing environment. Candidates who have gained investing experience from the following areas will also be considered; private capital across real assets, special situations / credit, family office or super fund. You will have a proven track record of transaction execution, will be able to display a commercial and investor mindset and will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
This could be for a Q1 2023 hire and will consider those returning / relocating from offshore, and in exceptional circumstances would be willing to provide business sponsorship.
