Our client is seeking to build out their Melbourne presence with both an Investment Manager and Associate hire to join their highly credentialled team. These exciting opportunities lie with an emerging private equity fund boasting a unique investment mandate and significant financial backing. They are looking to hire an Investment Manager and Associate that will work as a part of their highly experienced investment team. My client is no ordinary private equity player, with a growth/mid-market investment mandate that also seeks to drive innovation, meaningful progress, and prosperity through the provision of growth capital to successful, high potential companies.
Investment Manager
You will play a crucial role in all aspects of the private equity investment lifecycle and subsequent portfolio management activity. You will be involved in sourcing and screening potential investments, contributing to the firm's investment themes and investment decisions, have involvement in all aspects of the execution of transactions, play an active role in direct portfolio management, and overseeing a team of high-performing Investment Associates. This role would suit candidates with a genuine interest in what makes a business perform and grow as you will have the opportunity to work directly with, and add value to, investee companies.
Associate
You will assist in sourcing potential investments and contributing to initial investment
decisions. Responsibilities will include: Carrying out commercial due diligence on potential investment targets including market research, industry dynamics etc; working closely with external advisors ; Building of detailed financial models; overseeing data room and Q&A process and working with portfolio executives.
Successful Investment Manager applicants will bring at least 5 years demonstrated direct, equity investment experience from private equity, corporate development, family office, or another relevant asset class (e.g. real assets/infrastructure). Candidates for the Associate role will have at least 2 years within investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction services, private equity or venture capital with exposure to M&A activity. It is also important that working on a very active, business-centric and for-purpose investment mandate genuinely resonates with you as this is a unique and important part of my client's value proposition.
Applicants must have full working rights for Australia to be considered.
