As ATB’s next Investment Counselor (IC), you will provide discretionary investment counseling and portfolio management for High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth investors. The IC initiates and maintains strong, long-term relationships with direct and referral clients based on a track record of exceptional service, strong communication, sound investment management and a commitment to fiduciary duty.

Under the leadership of the Managing Director, Private Investment Counsel and Institutional Portfolio Management, the IC works closely with external centres of influence, ATB Securities Inc. financial advisors, ATB private bankers, ATB business bankers and ATB Capital Markets to serve clients and deliver positive outcomes. A dedicated Portfolio Associate and other support teams work alongside the IC to deliver an elevated client experience.

The Investment Counselor prospect process begins with a deep discovery discussion exercised by the IC to identify technical and behavioral considerations that are relevant to building and managing a discretionary investment portfolio and coordinating specialized wealth management services such as financial, tax, estate and business succession planning. The IC will adjust their investment recommendation and portfolio management as necessary as clients’ goals and expectations evolve.
