Operational Risk Officer - Risk and Control VP

Summary: A top 5 American Investment Bank is seeking an Operational Risk Officer (VP level) to join their Risk Control Self Assessment Team covering the bank's Consumer Banking arm. The bank is a top issuer of credit cards and personal loans globally and is one of the pioneers of digital banking. This team operates within the Consumer Risk Division, and is accountable for leading end-to-end RCSAs across various lines of business including credit card issuance and marketing, third party management, mortgage lending, digital/mobile banking, etc.

The bank is looking to hire someone with 5+ years of experience in ORM/ERM, audit or control, strong knowledge of consumer banking and consumer products, and excellent communication skills. Given that this is a RCSA team, the ability to build and manage relationships with senior level stakeholders will be necessary.

The Operational Risk Officer will be responsible for:

• Conducting end-to-end RCSAs for various lines of business across the consumer bank including credit card issuance and marketing, third party management, mortgage lending, digital/mobile banking, etc.
• Develop and manage key relationships with senior level stakeholders across the consumer bank to ensure projects are completed
• Participate in bank-wide improvement projects to enhance the firm's risk identification, root cause analysis and controls testing procedures
• Effectively challenge newly implemented controls by the 1st line and identify emerging risks
• As a VP, contribute towards talent development and guiding junior team members

The Operational Risk Officer should have:

• 5+ years of experience in operational risk
• Deep knowledge of consumer products
• Excellent relationship-building skills
