Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and execute on the company's global financial strategy as a critical member of the firm's leadership team
  • Oversee Finance Department including ownership over the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, merger & acquisition, treasury, and corporate finance functions
  • Provide robust and technical expertise and direction on the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and forecasts predicting future growth, including all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, quarterly investor and board of director reports.
  • Analyze financial data and reforecast future projections and budgets
  • Provide expertise on selection and oversight of implementation of future accounting systems and tools, including potential multi-currency accounting functionality to support global expansion
  • Identify investment opportunities and manage any future financing, mergers, or acquisition situations
  • Analyze long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth.
  • Provide guidance of corporate structure, including global subsidiaries, employee equity and options, and tax implications of related decisions
  • Oversee investment of funds and works with leadership to raise additional capital required for expansion.
  • Partner with firm leadership to ensure corporate governance and support corporate-level decisions such as selection of audit firm, accounting partner, and accounting systems.

Requirements
  • 15 - 20+ years of experience in financial management within the asset management / financial services / FinTech industry.
  • Experience building or managing a finance function that supports a multi-national organization with clients domiciled around the globe.
  • Robust technical accounting, business analytics and business knowledge.
  • Financing experience including secondary market private equity, debt options, traditional bank lending, mezzanine financing, etc.
  • Ability to grow and lead a high-performing Finance team with strong capabilities to both oversee and contribute to critical finance deliverables.
