Site Reliability Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Optimize cycle time with CI/CD practices and tools to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using blue-green deployments, and controlled rollouts
• Make choices that positively impact all of the engineerings and drive development productivity
• Monitor production, staging and test environments
• Navigate your way across a complex and rapidly changing technology landscape and stay on top of industry trends

Job Requirements

• A demonstrable experience in supporting modern, complex customer-facing multi-channel (desktop, mobile, API) web applications
• Expertise in tools and methods to enable efficiency, performance and agility through automating DevOps processes
• Experience with production support, application monitoring and capacity planning
• Experience with managing cloud services like AWS, Google Compute Engine or Azure
• Experience with managing containerized applications with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or other similar infrastructure as code toolings
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database management systems

These skills are not required but are a plus:

• Working in a startup or agile development environments
• Experience and familiarity with financial services or other mathematically oriented applications
• Experience in managing and monitoring microservices and message stream processing
• Experience with Open API, web security and privacy
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Helm, Node.js, PostgreSQL
• Experience in managing and monitoring microservices and message stream processing
• Knowledge of public/private cloud capabilities including compute, storage, database and analytics
