Division Description
Global Investment Banking offers funding solutions (debt, equity and mezzanine) to support the assets on the balance sheet of our corporate customers. We aim to be recognised as the preferred investment banking product and advisory provider in key Asian markets, by targeting the local customer franchise and focusing on cross-border products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the Corporate Finance team in primarily supporting Mergers & Acquisition activities (buy/ sell side), strategic financial advisory and fund-raising, in the Global Investment Banking Division
  • Lead in the execution of M&A deals including
    • Transaction management; managing communication with clients, investors/buyers and other advisors, due diligence
    • Preparation of pitchbooks, teasers, Information memoranda, presentations and marketing materials
    • Industry screenings for potential targets/ buyers/ investors
    • Perform and oversee financial modelling and financial analyses, including valuation
  • Lead/Assist in the origination of deals, including working with various departments of the OCBC Group, to identify advisory opportunities especially in tech-driven businesses


Qualifications
The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Candidate must be self-motivated with ability to lead and take on responsibility and ownership for their work
  • At least 6 years of working experience in Corporate Finance, with strong and genuine interest in M&A
  • Strong interest and past experience in fund-raising for start-up, tech/ new economy companies (such as in fintech, digital services/ media, clean/green tech, esports, gaming)
  • Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure with effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues within the firm as well as communicate with clients outside of the firm
  • Be willing to travel overseas, if required
  • PC know-how, e.g. MS Office is essential; working knowledge of Bloomberg and Dealogic is desirable
  • Min. Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance or related)
