Who we are looking for
The AVP will be part of a team of professionals and responsible for the development and growth of the client services team within the hybrid fund services business of State Street Alternative segment, based in Singapore.
Candidates must demonstrate initiative, be able to perform well under pressure and simultaneously handle multiple assignments. Fund Administration Managers are responsible to direct the day-to-day accounting and administration for several client sponsored investment funds.

What you will be responsible for
As Fund Accounting and Administration, Assistant Vice President you will

Hybrid Expertise
  • Serve as a source of technical information to answer and assist with internal client questions regarding product types & structures, basic regulatory issues and operational Issues.
  • Responsible for the direction and training of subordinate managers and staff. Address employee concerns and sensitivities.
  • Experience in interpreting complex LPAs and management/waterfall calcs required.

Client Engagement
  • Manage internal workflow and client deadlines.
  • Manage client relationships with both client personnel and internal teams.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial work paper packages including portfolio schedules, accruals and valuations.
  • Review and/or preparation of capital calls and distributions.
  • Review periodic bank and cash reconciliations and post journal entries.
  • Review quarterly management fee, incentive fee and carried interest calculations.
  • Review and/or preparation of various client related correspondence.
  • Coordination of annual audit preparation with external accounting firms and clients.
  • Review and approve NAV files in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the direction and training of subordinate managers and staff. Address employee concerns and sensitivities.
  • Provide support for and effectively communicate broad overall company initiatives and goals to staff within span of control.

Team Lead
  • Manages and supervises a team of professionals to review a spectrum of reports and deliverables for hybrid clients and to manage and maintain multiple client relationships
  • Maintains goals and careers development plans for direct reports and meets all requirements for performance planning process (including goal setting, regular and immediate feedback and submission of formalized performance appraisals)
  • Provides technical guidance and mentorship to all staff levels
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of accounting, with focus on private equity / alternative segment
  • Manages client expectations and participates in discussions with both existing clients and prospects
  • Manages and monitors the work quality of deliverables from centers of excellence

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a college degree (business, mathematics, finance or economics preferred, accounting concentration a plus)
  • At least 8-10 years of accounting experience, including 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Specific experience in the hybrid/ private equity/real estate industry is a must.
  • Experience with Business Development Companies (BDC) and/or Private Credit portfolios is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Investran or other partnership accounting applications is a plus.
  • Experience with Geneva favourable but not required.
