About This Opportunity

Lead one or more Credit Services teams and ownership of extensions of credit to clients within one or more segments or credit product types. Responsible for the financial and human resources activities of the teams and ensure teams are operating effectively to meet Credit Services' goals and objectives. Oversee highest priority initiatives that are defined by the business strategy and contribute to the organization's values and vision. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other lines of business to ensure common client goals across the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Leads one or more Credit Services teams with first line of defense lending responsibility.
  • Sets departmental priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan.
  • Leads key initiatives for department.
  • Develops and applies tactics to ensure staff achieve department goals and objectives and maintain high credit quality and standards of client satisfaction.
  • Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and seeks opportunities to implement as appropriate.
  • Manages the performance of assigned staff, coaches and guides on project management.
  • Participates in long-term or strategic planning for the Institutional Lending function designed to improve the overall client experience and improve team productivity and quality.
  • Ensures clients are satisfied and lenders are effectively executing the established strategy for each client.
  • Serves as an escalation point for highly complex and/or significant relationships, if necessary.
  • Serves as the subject-matter expert for staff on the full range of Company products/services.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve credit profile or broaden existing relationships.
  • Maintains relationships with senior business and sales leaders across the Bank to ensure common client goals and report trends and needs; may provide forward-looking and strategic insight on client credit profiles/industry issues to assist with future revenue growth.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Responsible for the financial resources of the area, ensuring adherence to budget and management of expenses.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, MBA is preferred.
  • 15+ years of total work experience and 5-7 years of management experience preferred
  • Experience in risk analysis or commercial banking preferred.
