Description :
The WM & U.S. Banks AML Risk Assistant Vice President has responsibility for the management and governance of all AML-related risk, projects, procedures, communications, and training within the Business Unit as the First Line of Defense.
Additionally, the AML Risk Assistant Vice President will be dedicated to the design, implementation and enhancement of AML Program controls and change management, including, but not limited to, the identification and implementation of strategic AML program improvements and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory and Operational Risk Governance and Oversight
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Operational Risk Groups, and Internal Audit teams to produce data, case files and required documentation for regulatory exam and testing exercises governing the risks and controls of the AML Risk Program
  • Ensure procedures, processes and controls throughout are adequately designed and operating effectively in preparation for audits, compliance exams, and regulatory inquiries
Project Management, Procedures, Training, and Stakeholder Communication
  • Lead and provide Project Management support for projects across the AML Risk Organization (includes process efficiencies, technology enhancements, and internal web presence updates)
  • Create, update, maintain and refresh organizational procedures, desktop guides, and inventories
  • Support training programs for the AML Risk Team and external stakeholder groups
  • Develop and manage annual roadmap of team initiatives, projects, and process improvements
  • Manage and enhance communications framework to ensure effective stakeholder outreach and distribution channels for developments concerning process, procedures, and technology
  • Collaborate on strategy with management to ensure that key risks and efficiency opportunities are addressed

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (Business, Finance, or other related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in BSA/AML Compliance
  • Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) requirements
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams and Compliance testing
  • Project Management experience (CAPM or PMP certifications a plus)
  • Procedure writing experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification by ACAMS or equivalent AML certification/license
  • Experience with US Banking regulations and knowledge of Securities Based Lending (SBL), Brokerage, and Institutional Securities products
  • Tableau experience (ability to develop visualizations and dashboard development)
