Business Overview
The Risk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA) group provides independent oversight of BlackRock's fiduciary and enterprise risks. RQA's principal objectives are to advance the firm's risk management practices and to deliver independent risk expertise and constructive challenge to drive better business and investment outcomes. In the course of executing this mission, RQA provides quantitative analysis to many of BlackRock's businesses and helps promote the spread of best practices across the firm.

Enterprise Risk Management
The enterprise risk function remains closely engaged with the evolving regulatory environment and supervisory expectations, to ensure that BlackRock's internal risk and control frameworks remain consistent with these, and to coordinate regulatory initiatives from an RQA perspective (for example, capital and liquidity assessments).
The Enterprise Risk team works with Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit and other control-related teams to ensure an integrated, efficient and complete approach to the risks and controls of the firm from an enterprise standpoint.

Enterprise Risk Management

The Enterprise Risk team works with Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit and other control-related teams to ensure an integrated, efficient and complete approach to the risks and controls of the firm from an enterprise standpoint.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the oversight of operational risks for all activities. Day to day management is supported by the Operational Risk team as the Designated Person for Operational Risk.
- Oversight and implementation of operational risk management procedures which are subject to Board approval and oversight.
- Manage a local team of enterprise risk professionals, including matrix management of functional risk managers located in Ireland.
- Working with BlackRock EMEA Legal & Compliance function and other control and business functions to ensure that operating events and incidents are properly managed with any open exposures closed down as a matter of utmost urgency.
- Communicating regularly with all other Designated Persons to identify, monitor and manage any operating events or operational risks identified by them, or reported to them, during their day-to-day activities. The principal Designated Persons with whom the Designated Person for Operational Risk communicates are those in respect of Regulatory Compliance, Investment Management, and Capital and Financial Management.
- Preparing and submitting reports to the Board detailing any material individual events for the Company or the Funds, the economic impact of the events, trending analyses and significant preventative items identified.
- Presenting corporate risk analysis (including Operational Risks) to the Company.
What you need:
- At least 5 years relevant experience.
- High level of familiarity with funds regulation (specifically UCITS and AIFMD).
- Excellent technical and regulatory knowledge.
- Experience managing a team within a global organization is a plus.
- Leadership and strength of character. Someone able to offer healthy challenge is essential.
- Sound judgment, professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills.
