Programme Director - Financial Services - Perm - London/Hybrid - Competitive Salary + Bonus

Alexander Ashes are currently working with a global financial organisation who are looking for a Programme Director join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated and will seek to identify improvements and efficiencies, while utilising their experience and existing tools as the organisation takes on one of its biggest bodies of work.

What does the role intel?

The role will have overall responsibility for the programme design and execution, definition of key business benefits and project IT workstreams within existing and new M&A deals. The stream project managers will have a reporting line into this individual, the programme team is expected to span all areas of the IT organisation with significant dependencies on other supporting functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Real-Estate, Legal and Compliance). Effective running of their Programme and communications to IT and external business stakeholders. Responsible for keeping the IT elements of the programme on budget as well as realising all key business benefits.

What they are looking for:
  • Previous experience of transformational IT organisation design programmes, a variety of vendor engagement models and internal site buildout requirements (real estate, talent acquisition, learning and development programme etc).
  • The ability to navigate a complex organisation and work with senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to steer a clear path through ambiguity to deliver clarity of execution.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups
  • Knowledge of sourcing methodologies and operating models
  • Experience in working with Outside Service Providers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills

Previous Experience:
  • Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions required
  • Knowledge of delivering Separation programmes a strong advantage
  • Experience of M&A within an IT context, particularly for Separation required
