Overview of the Company:


Acuitas Investments LLC is an SEC registered investment adviser located in Seattle, Washington. The firm uses a multi-manager investment process and seeks to be the world's premier experts in microcap and small cap multi-manager investing. Acuitas’ products include mutual funds, private funds and separate accounts for large plan sponsors.   Acuitas was founded in January 2011 by a team of research and portfolio management executives from Russell Investments.  As of 6/30/22, Acuitas had approximately $800M in assets under management.


Overview of Position:


This role will take primary responsibility for the operations functions at Acuitas, including providing timely and accurate deliverables to clients, handling all aspects of performance reporting and supporting the investment process. Acuitas’ Senior Operations Analyst role has diverse job responsibilities, and a strong candidate will be self-motivated, and have an action-oriented mindset. Additionally, they will be comfortable handling large projects and initiatives as well as executing smaller day-to-day tasks.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Performance measurement and account reconciliation, and working with managers, custodians, and our GIPS verification firm. Manage GIPS policies and procedures to GIPS standards. Production of custom reporting for large institutional clients. Data management and reporting using analytical tools such as Advent, Excel, and FactSet. Review, update and implement new processes and procedures where needed to enhance operational functionality and controls. Serve as operational lead interacting with custodians and external managers. Maintain consultant databases. Support the investment team with data requests and seek to improve investment infrastructure processes. Support the creation and updating of marketing materials.



  • Proven experience with client performance measurement, account reconciliation, and GIPS performance reporting. Bachelor’s degree in one or more of accounting, finance or information technology. 5+ years prior investment operations experience.  Experience working in Advent and with custodian reporting systems. Experience working with FactSet or other third-party analytics providers. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Resourceful, inquisitive, and enjoy problem-solving while maintaining accountability for decisions. Self-motivated and driven. Able to work independently and multi-task. Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills. Good communication, including ability to work within a small team effectively, and strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in a flexible role with diverse responsibilities, Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. CIPM® certification considered a plus. Python programming experience considered a plus.
