What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems.
• Design, develop, and implement effectively controlled processes across the spectrum of the Collections life-cycle to ensure Barclays operates in a compliant way.
• Assess new and existing processes to provide recommendations for efficiencies and optimizations.
• Responsible for execution of daily job runs and adhoc fixes at a code level in order to ensure seamless execution of processes.
• Deliver new projects by developing new code using SAS, SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform & Load), Python, and Tableau.
• Analyze data of previously delivered projects in order to determine trends and customer and agent performance to be able to implement newer strategies.
• Understand services and extract data to be able to assist legal and compliance teams with specific asks on litigation or data at a regulatory level.
• Pull statistical data for day to day operations and delivery to senior leadership and analytics teams.

What we're looking for:

Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience as a Consultant, System Analyst, or a related position.

Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with each of the following required skills:

• Using Advanced SAS programming skills to develop code and enhance existing code that drive business critical processes;
• Using SQL to query data;
• Using ETL (Extract Transform and Load) and troubleshooting code breaks and fixes;
• Understanding and translating complex technical requirements into business friendly requirements;
• Creating visualization by utilizing Tableau;
• Big Data Technologies Hadoop, HIVE, Impala Scoop, Zookeeper to analyze and process large and complex data;
• Using Python to perform statistical analysis and modelling on big data; and
• Using Unix to develop shell scripts that can help transfer the data files between various data sources via File Transfer Protocol (FTP), automate production jobs that involve data manipulation and monitoring, manage application processing space through data archival, and install Mainframe and SAS codes in business approved schedulers.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Wilmington, Delaware location at 125 South West Street. Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington, DE Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christiana River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
