Border to Coast is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Strategist to take responsibility for the production of high-quality investment research focused on macro-economic factors and asset allocation trends to facilitate portfolio construction advice across asset classes, in accordance with Border to Coast's investment process, procedures and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of asset allocation tools and macro-economic models, understand valuation and cyclical models used in the investment process and have knowledge of government fiscal policies and tools, and their consequences over the long term.
Providing effective leadership throughout your area of responsibility, you'll also carry out people manager activities for all direct reporting colleagues such as 1-2-1's, performance reviews and absence management. You'll facilitate the development of research team members through collaboration and collegiate engagement
It's imperative that the successful candidate has the ability to work cross functionally, collaborating with others to generate investment ideas, refine processes and share constructive feedback. The successful candidate will have experience in macro-economic modelling, providing asset allocation advice across asset classes.
Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for the role.
Educated to degree level, with a suitable investment management qualification, you'll have a keen interest in, and understanding of, investment markets as well as long-term investment and be committed to responsible investment and sustainability.
Based in Leeds, Border to Coast Pensions Partnership is an asset manager owned by 11 Local Government Pension Funds with total assets of £55 billion. It is FCA regulated, managing assets (equities, fixed income, alternatives and soon, real estate) through internal and external management. Border to Coast was established in mid-2018.
