Jr. Portfolio Manager/Compliance Manager
1. Work to ensure NMERB is compliant with policies and procedures enacted by the Board and or management. These include without limitation Placement Agent policy and Campaign Contribution Disclosure documents. This position will ensure the accurate compilation of due diligence materials for all private market commitments and will validate the economic structures of individual partnership agreements through waterfall analysis. Bi-annually this position will validate management fee payments to individual partnerships and aid in the completion of quarterly internal and external performance reports. The position will ensure compliance with contractual restrictions and NMERB investment policy through monitoring protocols.
2. Assist Senior Portfolio Managers or Deputy Chief CIO in monitoring external managers for investment performance relative to prescribed benchmarks, as established in our investment policy. This is further accomplished by working with consultants to establish processes to monitor and administer funding of commitments on a timely basis and coordinating the receipt of distributions from the investments. This position will review for adequacy all investment audits on an annual basis. Monitoring also involves working the with consultants to document the progress and level of performance of each investment's compliance with governing documents.
