RESPONSIBILITIES

The Investment Analyst will have a wide range of responsibilities that may shift over time as the sustainable investment industry continues to evolve. Initially, the Analyst will help advance the firm's SI priorities within IPFS - working across asset classes and across sustainability disciplines. This will include but not be limited to - ESG integration and engagement, climate, impact investing, and regulatory work, across equities, fixed income, multi-strategy, alternatives, and private investments. The Analyst may at some point also have direct product coverage for one or more products on our Sustainable Investment Platform.

Specific responsibilities will include: serving as a sustainable investment subject matter expert and resource for teams across IPFS and the Client Group, serving on cross-functional SI working groups, creation of sustainability marketing materials and content, review of RFPs, responses to client questions, and collaboration on the development of client solutions and new sustainable investment approaches including competitive analysis. Product specific responsibilities could include working directly with portfolio managers, performing analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution and risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Success in the role requires a high degree of flexibility, initiative, and can-do attitude. Demonstrated interest in both sustainable investment and the investment industry/markets more broadly, a passion for learning, as well as strong analytical skills are also key. A positive, collegial attitude and high level of professionalism are essential, as are creativity, initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
We are seeking candidates who display the following characteristics:
• A university degree with very strong academic credentials and a record of achievement
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, experience with sustainable investment preferred but not required
• Fixed income or equity specific experience is also a plus
• Project management skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to organize and synthesize data to reach conclusions
• Solid judgment, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take a differentiated perspective
• Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings
• Articulate with an interest in developing presentation skills
• Proactive with an ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a global team
• Strong technical skills; mastery of MS Excel and familiarity with Factset are a plus but not essential
• Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize time well
• Grace under pressure with an ability to adapt to get things done
