Who we are looking for
As a Collateral Management Officer, you will interact internally with global Centers of Excellence, Client Middle Office Operations teams, Joint Venture operations teams and Client operational contacts to complete the collateral management and processing for assigned clients and portfolios. You will be expected to manage multiple strategic projects and client relationships while simultaneously providing tactical support to line level staff in order to achieve excellent service standards of the collateral management function. The candidate must exhibit a strong understanding of Collateral Management Operations specific to Bilateral OTC, Cleared Swaps, Exchange Traded Derivatives, TBA, Repo and dispute resolution.

What you will be responsible for
As Collateral Management Officer you will
  • Serve as a single point of contact providing inquiry and operational support to high profile internal and external clients on collateral management functions on behalf of the team
  • Coordinate team activities including problem resolution, coverage and escalations
  • Identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data; take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious, solutions
  • Work independently and with the team to establish firm and well-tested controls and procedures
  • Implement and support client-specific service requirements; understand the client's operational process and enhances the service accordingly
  • Validate and review all daily activity while maintaining all required controls
  • Interpret client needs and work to meet those needs offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues and non-standard tasks or queries
  • Research and resolve exceptions, perform reconciliations and actively monitor for incorrect transactions or issues
  • High level daily tasks include assisting and coordinating junior staff, issuing and responding to margin calls, collateral allocation and managing the dispute resolution process and/or collateral settlement.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • CFA and MBA are a plus
  • 3+ years of work experience with direct experience in Collateral Management, Custody Operations or Derivative Operations
