Scope & Impact of Role:

Portfolio Oversight:
  • Assessment of portfolio performance and forecasting portfolio performance scenarios,
  • Ensuring that key Investor quarterly performance reporting is produced and available for stakeholders in a timely manner,
  • Assisting with Fund level facility convents and reporting.


Asset Oversight:
  • Financial control and oversight over a portfolio of renewable power assets and third party asset managers,
  • Provision of assistance to the transaction teams as appropriate, including the coordination of the operational elements of investment activities,
  • Integration of newly acquired portfolio assets into BlackRock systems.


Leadership Characteristics:
  • Ability to manage workload autonomously and effectively.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to apply commercial judgment.
  • Inquisitive, detail-oriented, self-motivated.
  • Keen to challenge and improve processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor performance of funds and underlying assets against multiple benchmarks.
  • Effective communication of portfolio and asset performance to Senior Management, Investors and the Renewable Power Team.
  • Managing and forecasting cashflows to optimise investor returns.
  • Review and implementation of annual budgets for all portfolio assets.
  • Liaise with internal and external specialists on tax compliance and planning.
  • Liaise with internal valuation and transaction teams on market and contractual developments impacting asset valuation.
  • Ensure full and timely compliance with regulatory, project and client reporting requirements.


Knowledge/Experience:
  • Demonstrates basic understanding of and willingness to learn about the Renewable Power and Climate Infrastructure industries.
  • Qualified Accountant, (ideally Big 4 background).
  • Third level degree.
  • Experience within a group finance or reporting role desirable.
  • Excellent Excel and financial analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial models and large volumes of contractual data.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including detailed knowledge and experience in IFRS.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
