We are PIMCO, a leading global asset management firm. We manage investments and develop solutions across the full spectrum of asset classes, strategies and vehicles: fixed income, equities, commodities, asset allocation, ETFs, hedge funds and private equity. PIMCO is one of the largest investment managers, actively managing more than $2.2 trillion in assets for clients around the world. PIMCO has over 3,070 employees in 22 offices globally. PIMCO is recognized as an innovator, industry thought leader and trusted advisor to our clients.

PIMCO is one of the world's premier fixed income investment managers with thousands of professionals around the world united in a single purpose: creating opportunities for our clients in every environment. We aspire to cultivate performance and leadership through empowering our people, diversity of thought, and a commitment to an inclusive culture that engages in our global communities.

Position Description:

The Retirement Marketing team leads PIMCO's strategic marketing plans for retirement investors (Institutional and Wealth Management), initiating proprietary research, and developing messaging and content. We seek to educate, inform and help investors make optimal decisions that deliver successful outcomes and accelerate business growth.

We are seeking a Marketing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and measurement of critical elements of integrated marketing projects.

Examples include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan Participant Engagement and Communications programs
  • Assist with the strategic planning, infrastructure, and execution of a flagship Defined Contribution (DC) research project-the DC Consulting Study
  • Track and measure activity (web, media, sales, etc.) relevant to these projects (and others); packaging relevant insights into presentable formats to be shared with leadership and key partners
  • Recommend areas of opportunity for further development

This is a compelling role for candidates looking to learn and develop a career in marketing within a growing segment of the market. This role involves working closely with multiple partners, including retirement marketing, editorial and design, compliance, and others.

This position may be based in Newport Beach, CA or New York, NY.

About You:
If the following describes you, let's talk!
  • You challenge the status quo - rejecting "good enough" and resourcefully imagining new ways to build a better mousetrap
  • A "big picture" thinker - grasping how projects support business objectives and how you play a meaningful role in our success
  • A problem solver - quickly gaining clarity on desired outcomes, understanding root problems, and identifying the best solutions
  • A standout teammate - enjoying helping others perform at their best and achieve their fullest potential
  • Intellectually curious - beyond just knowing the answer, you want to understand the "why" behind the answer
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment - staying organized while juggling multiple priorities concurrently
  • Self-motivated - raising a high bar for yourself and reaching beyond the bare minimum of what's required
  • Have a keen attention to detail - you've already identified two typos in this job description
  • Share PIMCO's values of Collaboration, Openness, Responsibility, and Excellence, which allow us to bring the best to our clients and each other

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing day-to-day execution and project management for marketing campaigns and client implementations, including key deliverables, planning calendars, data gathering, team coordination, and acquiring approvals for marketing materials
  • Managing the development and production of marketing materials across a fully integrated communications platform, including updating, maintaining, and improving retirement-specific webpages
  • Collecting and analyzing metrics for marketing-related activities, preparing reports for stakeholders, and making recommendations based on findings
  • Collaborating with global colleagues across channels, including client management, product management, compliance, technology, and all marketing departments (brand, design, digital, channel, editorial, messaging, and content)
  • Coordinating with the global marketing function and resources to ensure strict adherence to PIMCO's brand standards and to harness best practices across geographies and business channels
  • Staying on top of industry and competitor best practices

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing
  • 1-2 years of experience with marketing campaign management and project management; financial services industry preferred; internships considered
  • Hands-on experience developing automated campaigns, including campaign ideation, design, build, QA and optimization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as the Adobe platform
  • Understanding of modern digital marketing platforms and practices
  • Ability to analyze data, teasing out actionable insights and opportunities

Benefits:

PIMCO is committed to offering a comprehensive portfolio of employee benefits designed to support the health and well-being of you and your family. Benefits vary by location but may include:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
