Description of the Business Line or Department

Summary of the key purposes of the role

The main responsibilities can be summarised as follows:
  • Provide support to the global head of Prime Brokerage product;
  • Partner, promote and manage coordination across product groups across PRM and EQD.
  • Work alongside Sales, COO, support functions and Business line head to deliver business plans;
  • Monitor business performance , profitability and scarce resources consumption;
  • Liaise with internal partners to deliver control and service improvements;
  • Ensure client excellence is delivered at all levels of the organization;

Summary of responsibilities
  1. Provide support to the EMEA head of Prime Product
  • Identify inefficiencies and simplify internal business line processes
  • By delegation ensure business sponsorship on product transversal initiatives
  1. Work alongside COO and regional/global business line heads to deliver business plans;
  • Ensure follow up on business plans as defined by product head
  • In coordination with product head and sales identify impediments to achieve revenue targets
  • Ensure escalation and quick follow up with support functions on identified issues
  1. Monitor business performance, profitability and scarce resources consumption;
  • Define and help implement necessary metrics that allow monitoring of business performance
  • Follow up on identified issues
  • Act as facilitator for transversal cost or revenue discussion with support functions
  1. Liaise with internal partners to deliver control and service improvements;
  • Active contribution in the definition and roll out of the control framework
  • Ensure individual business lines adhere to transversal control processes and procedures
  • By delegation act as point of escalation for control breaches
  • Participate in information gathering and presentation for internal and external audits
  • Contribute to New Business Committee ("NBC"),New Product Committee ("NPC") and New Market Access Committee ("NMAC") across all PBC business lines.
  1. Promote coordination across product groups in Prime Services;
  • Identify areas with insufficient coordination among stakeholders, and rapidly remediate issues
  • Define information sharing process to ensure stakeholders are given relevant information
  • Identify gaps in accountability and responsibilities wrongly delegated within the business line, support, and control functions and reinstate them into the appropriate functions
  1. Ensure client excellence is delivered at all levels of the organization;
  • Help build client Excellence across the organisation
  • Act as champion for our clients in workshops with the support functions
  • Ensure all contributors to the service provided to our clients take responsibility to resolve any issues and feel accountable for the service provided to the client.

  • Where required an appropriate act as contact for key clients.
  1. Knowledge Management Responsibilities
  • Maintain up to date intelligence on market initiatives and products in the trading environment
  • Maintain understanding of financial markets, competitors and clients.
  1. Risk Management Responsibilities
  • Ensure full adherence to the operating procedures for PRM and applicable regulatory training requirements.
  • Work with PRM Risk to deliver suite of risk reports
  • Set up monthly business, PRM Risk and RISQ meeting to review EPB
  1. Conduct Responsibilities

  • To assist in the self identification of all conduct related issues. Ensure escalation to appropriate stakeholder or function whether internal or external.
