The Role: Research Analyst I

The Team: The team is responsible for generating S&P Global's North America Energy Insights, including North America supply forecasting, asset and company valuation, operator strategic assessments, unconventional cost analysis, ESG and regulatory assessments

The Impact: This role helps supports clients in understanding the critical aspects of the North America energy landscape, from operator capital decisions to valuation to operational risks.

What's in it for you: This role sits at the crux of the Commodity Insights division, linking all aspects of our analysis into in-depth, impactful and cohesive insights.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and input financial and operational public data found in corporate filings, news releases, presentations, and other sources of disclosure.
  • Perform asset valuation analysis
  • Help maintain the back end of our internal finance database and build analytical dashboards
  • Help maintain and populate our internal company valuation models.
  • Create, format, and customize charts and graphs used in insight reports and presentations.
  • Answer client questions that relate to database use, definitions, and methodology.
What We're Looking For:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics or other related field
  • Excel, VBA, PowerBi, Access
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Team player
The Location: Houston, TX

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $33,400 to $66,400 . Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
