We are recruiting for the European arm of a prominent overseas family office, which has deployed $7bn of the principal's capital since inception. The firm has a particular strength in building financial services businesses and owns a leading consumer debt business and a credit card bank. Since entering the UK market, the firm has invested £400m of capital across equity and debt investments and is in the process of launching a closed-ended fund.

They are looking to recruit a Vice President for the London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of deal origination, deal and asset underwriting, and deal management. In addition, they will be responsible for managing 2 investment analysts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full investment lifecycle involvement from deal origination, underwriting, closing, deal management and portfolio reporting, which may require travelling in the future.
  • Assessing prospective investments and leading financial modelling with the support of Analyst team.
  • Manage the execution of existing investments including working alongside and driving deal management teams.
  • Effectively manage third-party service providers.
  • Presentation to senior management and investment committee.
  • Manage Analysts in conjunction with senior management team.

Requirements for the Role:
  • Demonstrable, 6-10 years relevant experience within private equity, private investment, corporate finance, asset underwriting.
  • Excellent academic credentials up to Masters or a MBA; a business, economic or financial degree is preferable.
  • Experience in venture and or growth investing.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including substantial experience in financial modelling and asset underwriting/valuation.
  • Solid grasp of company financial statements and legal and transaction documentation.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting research and collaborating with others to develop solutions.
  • Strong people skills and ability to deal with, manage and challenge stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Understanding of asset/receivable underwriting and securitisation is preferable, but not essential.
