(Senior) Quantitative Cross-Asset Strategist

In the Multi Asset Strategy team of Vontobel Asset Management's Multi Asset Boutique in Zurich, we are looking for a (Senior) Quantitative Cross-Asset Strategist. The team is responsible for the top-down strategic and tactical asset allocation process, serving both institutional and wealth management clients. For our analysis, we use a man & machine approach and the role will be instrumental in further developing the model (machine) part and support with in-depth quantitative analysis.

Your opportunity
Tasks & responsibilities

• Top-down cross-asset analysis and strategy development (mainly quantitative) to generate investment views on asset class level and to support other team members with single asset class focus.
• We operate a "man & machine" approach and the candidate is expected to significantly contribute to the "machine" part of our investment process, improvement, further development and running.
• Strong collaboration with strategists and asset allocation team on short- and long-term topics and projects
• Serves as a back-up for strategist

Skills

• Master in a technical discipline (with good economic knowledge) or master in economics (with good technical skills)
• Programming R, Python, etc. is a must
• Ideally, having managed portfolios (or at least having been very close to portfolios). In any case, having worked in the investment industry before.
• Independent, diligent, accurate
• Strong team player
• Ideally >10 years experience
