Global Investment Bank is currently searching for a highly technical candidate to join their Valuation Control (IPV) team in NYC. This role is responsible for all aspects of valuation control, including calculation of price verification results, determination of valuation adjustments, validation of model inputs, interpretation of results, and reporting to key stakeholders.

This is a high profile role across the bank in a market leading Rates business with high visibility to senior management and it is therefore essential that you have strong interpersonal skills. The position offers realistic progression to a Director role in the future along with the hybrid flexible working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Valuation reporting for the Rates businesses, including clear and effective presentation of results
- Ensuring methodological consistency across the region, as well as contributing to global consistency initiatives
- Accountability for the relevant regional businesses within the Rates Valuations Manager Control Assessment
- Ownership for driving systems and control improvements
- Responsibility for reviewing and engaging on all valuation matters relating to the businesses
- Interact with external audit and regulatory bodies for all aspects of valuation
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a valuation, risk, front office or technical product control role
- Strong knowledge of derivatives - Rates or Equities preferred
- Educated ideally to Masters level in a mathematical, economics or quantitative subject
- Strong understanding of current global regulatory developments pertaining to valuation of financial instruments - Preferred
- Experience of stakeholder management with front office traders - highly preferred
