Provide support by performing analysis and reporting, to provide recommendations for the business. Identify process improvements and adjustments to existing reporting models. Provide expertise for small to medium projects, which may involve developing solutions for problems within the business. Resolve problems or issues through methods of trouble shooting and separate analysis. Using sound information and theory, provide management with recommended actions to resolve issues or create value for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support by compiling team metrics, tracking results and communicating results to the team and leadership using tools such as, Excel, Microsoft Project, Visio and Power BI.
  • Coach and lead team through process changes.
  • Analysis of various transactions using Excel or data queries to provide leadership with suggested financial reporting impacts.
  • Support and tracking of financial reporting changes related to various product changes.
  • Accounting reconciliations of accounting system differences between fund accounting and financial reporting.
  • Collaboration within team and across business functions to improve processes.
  • Create and/or maintain workflow processes
  • Develop and support business unit SharePoint sites.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in mutual fund accounting, reporting, tax, or related
  • Solid analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the department and across business functions
  • Ability to work independently, handle changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work within tight time frames and deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean enabled
  • Microsoft Office / O365 (Excel, Project, Power Automate, Power BI, Visio, SharePoint)
  • Business knowledge of mutual fund reporting, accounting or tax
  • Experience with ArcReporting and Invest One
