What you will be responsible for: BASIC PURPOSE:

The Senior Global Client Administrator is responsible for providing cap stock reporting and cash forecasting to our investment personnel, reporting for institutional clients and general operations support for our separate account and retail clients, custodians and MFS personnel. The Senior Global Client Administrator acts as a liaison between custodian banks, third party administrators and clients in an effort to support the investment process through validation of cash flow activity and any reconciliation matters. The Senior Global Client Administrator provides specialized reporting, as appropriate, to both internal and external clients. This position involves researching and resolving various internal and external inquiries using all available resources. The Senior Global Client Administrator should possess excellent communication skills and exhibit the ability to work effectively under pressure. Senior Global Client Administrator works with an increased volume and complexity, assists management by serving as a knowledgeable resource for research and resolution of complex operational issues and manages special projects, conducts review of teams work and provides support to Team Leaders.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations for a set of institutional and retail clients whose needs, requests and issues may be very complex in nature.
  • Duties include the collection and confirmation of client cash flow activity, cap stock communication to equity and fixed income investment teams and completion of tasks that satisfy client-specified investment guidelines or reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with the Asset Control Team to research and resolve discrepancies with custodian banks and third party administrators.
  • Maintain activity on MFS' systems to ensure the accuracy of internal records and unit value calculations.
  • Works closely with other Global Investment Support (GIS) departments including Data Integrity, Corporate Actions and Equity and Fixed Settlements and Support teams.
  • Recommend workflow or process improvements based on trends or recurring issues.
  • Assists Team Leader in reviewing daily reports, resolving performance issues, etc. and assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Assists with testing new systems/processes/procedures, provides coverage as assigned and trains new employees on daily/monthly tasks.
  • Assists in developing, writing, implementing and auditing procedures and processes.
  • May be involved in special projects within the department or GIS.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience is preferred.
  • Work well independently, however, is expected to contribute a team setting.
  • Moderate understanding of investment products and investment operations is desired.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel application.
