Job Description

We are now looking for a Group Lease Senior Financial Analyst to join our Controlling team in Lisbon.

Following the introduction of IFRS 16 standards, Airbus has decided to create in Lisbon a Center of Expertise for the entire group. This center will have the responsibility to centralize all of the IFRS 16 relevant contracts, validate and integrate them into the lease accounting software (Nakisa Lease Administration) and provide to the legal entities the relevant accounting entries. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will lead this Center of Expertise and therefore be the group key responsible for all IFRS 16 activities.

In An International Environment Connected With a Large Number Of Stakeholders (with Multicultural And Multifunctional Teams) From The Entire Airbus Group, The Jobholder Will Have The Following Main Accountabilities
 

  • Define and implement the new IFRS 16 operating model: interface from contract owners (Real Estate, General Procurement, Finance, HR functions) to generation of relevant accounting entries for all Airbus Group legal entities (~1600 contracts for 250 consolidated entities)
  • With the support of another Financial analyst, be responsible for data collection, data entry in the lease accounting software and data communication to legal entities. Therefore, you are fully responsible for the quality of IFRS 16 information provided in Airbus Group Quarterly Financial Statements
     

Detailed Responsibilities Of The Center Of Expertise
 

  • Contribute to the build of the IFRS 16 operating model with the support of the Accounting Norms and Standards department
  • Drumbeat full process and coordination with all stakeholders of the process (from the contract owners to the consolidation team)
  • Be the Key-user of NLA: for Cloud version implementation and major upgrades / improvements and perform tests. NLA defect identification and communication to the NLA Administrator
  • Perform analysis of the lease contracts from an IFRS 16 point of view
  • Ensure that the analysis are reflected in the lease accounting software (NLA)
  • Build a database based on the information received for global overview / tracking (monthly report of all the adjustments performed)
  • Contract rate calculation for new contracts and contract adjustments based on the guideline and based on the information received (controlling focal point in support)
  • Deliver on time the financial restatements to the local accountants (financial closings)
  • Build a monthly summary report of all the adjustments performed with financial impact associated
  • Support controlling for budget construction and budget review for IFRS 16 impacts (based on the information in NLA)
  • Act as key-user for the lease accounting software improvements
  • Support controlling department for budget construction / review in line with IFRS 16
  • Provide all relevant information/ support for external/internal audits
     

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have
 

  • University degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Finance/Accounting or Audit background (Big Four accounting firms as a plus) with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Good understanding of the IFRS. Experience of IFRS 16 would be strongly appreciated
  • Capability to ensure process re-design and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills with capacity to interact with a large number of stakeholders (finance / non finance) from operational to management levels
  • Capability to manage / prioritize customers expectations and deadlines
  • English - advanced level: capacity to interact in a daily basis with English native speakers
