The Global Markets function is a trusted partner to external clients (Corporates, Financial institutions and Asset Managers) in market activities, offering a cross-expertise in Research, Investment and Risk Solutions, Execution and Prime Services.

MARK/BMO teams aim to support MARK's development while preventing operational and conduct risks.

Objectives:
  • Be a key partner for MARK UK business line and activities to enable MARK UK to serve the needs of its clients in a secure & controlled manner
  • Help oversee the day-to-day operations while also delivering on business-critical key projects, such as new business, regulations, transformation
  • Ensure a good cooperation with other BUs & SUs
  • Help to ensure the highest service levels to clients, combining process and business expertise, quality of execution, technology advisory, innovative solutions and operational and conduct risk prevention


Summary of responsibilities
  • Provide support to the MARK Chief Operating Officer in the UK and the head of MARK in the UK to define a MARK UK perimeter as a reference for local regulators, be able to consistently report economic, financial and non-financial risk indicators for this perimeter
  • Participate to the definition / Implementation & run of a sound and robust MARK UK Governance, considering PRA guidance and linking into SGLB governance
  • Support to ensure that MARK UK risks are properly assessed, followed and monitored. Monitor business performance, profitability, scarce resources consumption and budget consumption on various projects
  • Key stakeholder in the implementation of new rules & guidelines for the MARK UK staff for SGLB
  • Work alongside the UK MARK staff (Traders, Sales, BM, ORM...) and support functions (DFIN, RISQ, IT etc.) to deliver projects defined in the MARK UK BTO's roadmap.
  • Liaise with internal partners to deliver control and service improvements. Suggest efficient operational processes when necessary and launch/lead projects to implement new set-ups
  • Contribute to New Product Committee when linked to the UK business and NPC KPI follow-up for the UK platforms
  • Help prioritize on-boarding requests and escalate KYC issues to Global Head MARK UK and Head of Sales desks when required.
  • Work on the optimization and the implementation of efficient processes for KYC management, within MARK and with our key partners GLBA< CLD, Compliance.
  • Act as an entry point for the support functions (Compliance, Audit, OPER, ITEC, SAFE, HR, etc.)
  • Active participation in certain key committees in the SGLB governance
  • Participate in the definition & control of the resources needed to be able to achieve MARK UK SGLB strategy
  • Functional line and delegate to the MARK Chief Operating Officer in the UK
