About the Department
UOB Venture Management Private Limited (UOBVM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of UOB Limited, is a leading private equity firm in Southeast Asia. Established in 1991 and licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a fund management company, UOBVM manages a family of funds providing financing to unlisted companies through direct equity investment, covering early stage, expansion, and pre-IPO companies in China and the ASEAN region. UOBVM has assets under management in excess of S$1.7 billion and deploys funds through different fund platforms.

Job Responsibilities
Candidate will join the fund administration team and be responsible for Fund operations and supporting the Principal Fund Managers in their investment portfolio of Funds. The responsibilities covers fund administration, valuations, AML/KYC and regulatory compliance and investor relations, as necessary.

Fund Administration would range from fund establishment, onboarding of investors and KYC checks, to capital calls, distribution of capital, cash management, tax and regulatory filings, convening investors and board meetings, preparing and distributing reports. In the event of investments and/or disbursement of funds, candidate will assist with the KYC and screenings conducted as part of the firm's compliance. Where external service providers such as fund administrators and corporate secretaries are appointed, the candidate will liaise and coordinate with the external service providers to ensure that service standards are met and reporting requirements are done in a timely fashion. The candidate will also need to manage the Funds' regulatory filings.

Valuation work involves the initiation of quarterly valuation exercise, in which input from the investment teams on each investment asset is collected, and valuation schedule is updated

The candidate will also assist with periodic regulatory compliance required within the firm e.g. FATCA/CRS reporting, investor reviews, etc.

The candidate may also be required to assist the Principal Fund Manager in investor relations matter as and when they arise.

The candidate will report to the Head of Fund Administration & Investor Relations.

Job Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent qualifications, or accounting degree
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in administration or operations for the financial services sector, preferably in Private Equity, Asset Management or Fund Administration
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, meticulous in reviewing documents and is well organised
  • A self-starter and fast learner who is able to multi-task, is resourceful and is focused on delivery
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work independently or as a team leader or as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
