About this role

Overview:

The Performance Measurement & Attribution (PMA) team is a member of the Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS) group within Technology & Operations. PMA delivers investment performance, analysis, oversight, and attribution across all asset classes, and is responsible for the outcome and interpretation of all portfolio and benchmark return analytics in BlackRock. This includes generating analytical outcomes, supporting investment teams through product level support, acting as a centralized source and control of performance for the firm, and building tools and automated solutions.

Servicing the needs of the global client base, the demands for accurate, timely & informative performance data is central to many of the organizational core objectives. Products covered are the spectrum of Mutual Funds, ETF's, segregated clients and investment asset classes including Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Equity and Alternatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and calculate net returns, gross returns, synthetic returns, load-adjusted returns and yields and participate in cross training efforts on team functions
  • Coordinate accurate and timely performance information across several fund groups while understanding the flow of information and data between the various groups and systems
  • Review performance information and ensure accuracy in all fund-related regulatory filings
  • Maintain efficient control procedures for gathering, analyzing and disclosing all operations related activities
  • Be a source of performance and systems knowledge, and manage external service provider relationships to ensure best practices and consistency in reporting
  • Partner with Performance teams globally to present a consistent client experience catalyzing a common culture
  • Support and complete various efficiency and capacity-building performance reporting initiatives, including automation/standardization efforts by utilizing the full scope of BlackRock's technology platform.
Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent and 5-7 years of industry related leadership and experience
  • Show strong understanding of standard performance methodologies
  • Ability to work independently, show strong problem-solving acumen with high attention to detail, an ability to synthesize information, summarize issues, and take initiative
  • Forward-thinking & project oriented; able to demonstrate initiative to undertake and complete projects, while providing clarity on progress
  • Strong interpersonal skills - both oral and written
  • Experience with Bloomberg, LIM, LANA and Morningstar Direct
