Your team
You'll be working in our Equity Market Risk Team, which is part of our global Market Risk Control function and will be based on the trading floor in our London offices. Our primary responsibilities are to identify, monitor and control market risk in Equity trading portfolios. You will strive to achieve an appropriate balance between risk and return while minimizing potential risk concentrations to ensure that the risk-taking is in line with our strategic priorities and values.
You will contribute on improving risk analysis tools using programming and data science techniques. Our team ultimately provide an independent and comprehensive view of market risks to management.
Your expertise
• excellent academics and a Bachelors or Masters degree in finance, economics, engineering, computer science or another quantitative discipline
• a strong understanding of the equity and broader financial markets
• prior FRTB-related experience will be highly advantageous
• experience coding in Python/SQL would be beneficial
• excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively
• strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to apply quantitative techniques to solve practical problems
• a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to conceive projects and carry them through to completion
