2023 Operations Full-Time Analyst Program (Baltimore)
The Operations Division at Morgan Stanley is the first line of defense for the Firm by devising and implementing effective controls to safeguard the Firm's reputation and franchise. Operations collaborates with Sales & Trading, Finance, Legal and Technology to execute the Firm's Institutional, Retail, and Asset Management businesses. This is accomplished by processing trade executions, settling transactions, managing operations risks, implementing internal controls, developing and maintaining strong client relationships and engaging with business partners to enable the development of new products and Businesses.

Training Program:
  • An entry-level opportunity to learn about the Financial Services Industry and develop professional skills and competencies
  • A comprehensive Analyst Training Program, which includes a Firm orientation, followed by financial, technical, and professional skills training
  • Annual opportunities to join in January or July depending on graduation date
  • Professional networking opportunities through seminars with senior management, mentorship and social events
  • Optional assisted mobility program, where Analysts are paired with Advisors to help navigate the Operations mobility process where they may experience up to two distinct roles during the program
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across the various Operation teams to evaluate and reengineer processes to drive greater operational efficiency
  • Partner with Business Units and Technology to deliver exceptional service to our clients in the areas of trade capture, clearance and settlement, account opening, cash management, billing, tax reporting and fraud monitoring
  • Work with Technology to design, manage and implement business process changes to streamline processes, improve productivity and optimize operational efficiency
  • Identify and mitigate operational risk while ensuring continued compliance with global regulatory requirements
  • Establish and maintain effective client relationships in order to deliver world class operational services
  • Upon completion of training, analysts will be assigned to an Operations team in accordance with business needs
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (all majors (disciplines) are encouraged to apply)
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and graduating between December 2022 and June 2023
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills
  • Team player who can work in a collaborative environment
  • Attention to detail, sound judgment and can handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills and can handle multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Problem solving skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to get the job done
  • Proactive, motivated and exhibits poise and self-confidence
