Risk Review and Executive Oversight

As a Barclays Senior Manager, Risk reviews and Executive oversight you will support the stand-up of a new team leading Risk Review, assurance and conformance style activities. As part of the Product Design and Review (PD&R) Team you will support a new executive governance committee which aims to enhance the 2LoD oversight and review of the New and Amended Product Approval (NAPA) process.

What will you be doing?
• Planning and leading the Risk Review and Quality Assurance(QA) processes on behalf of the group, producing reports, engaging and managing issues with stakeholders
• Supporting the development of a monitoring, QA and Assessment methodology and QA testing criteria for application across the PD&R portfolio
• You will support the embedment of an escalation path from PD&R Head upwards through Operational Risk and compliance to ensure clear communication and escalation
• Ensuring linkages from review and findings to the Risk Control Self-Assessment process and controls outcomes
• Identifying areas of control weakness, process failures in both retrospective and real-time activities through both targeted reviews and continuous monitoring
• Monthly ownership and administration of the new Barclays oversight committee including production of executive MI, risk profile and NAPA statistics

What we're looking for:
• Audit, assurance, conformance or monitoring and testing background
• Operational or conduct risk experience
• A pro-active person who can be relied upon to act on initiative and take full ownership of deliverables, managing many high priority tasks simultaneously
• Proven analytical skills and Microsoft Office knowledge and experience

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Practical experience of operational risk frameworks, acquired with a leading bank/financial services organisation or consultancy
• Knowledge of PD&R Policies and Standards more broadly and understanding of how PD&R is linked with other elements of the Operational Risk Framework e.g. RCSA's
• Highly organised and able to work independently on own initiative
• Communication and presentation (including excellent PowerPoint skills)

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
