This position is with a leading Hedge Fund who are looking to hire into their Japanese office. They are looking for a candidate who has experience in a Treasury or Fixed Income Financing role at a Hedge Fund or leading Investment Bank. This role will involve working with a wide range of members of the wider team and so this candidate must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in both Japanese and English.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include portfolio allocation and optimization, fixed income financing, disseminating repo and financing colour, and monitoring market events. This individual will work closely with external counterparties and internal trading desks on liquidity management and position-level funding.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years' experience in a Treasury, Fixed Income Financing and/or Fixed Income Repo position in either a Hedge Fund or Investment Bank
  • Good understanding of local and international repo markets, including technical aspects of central bank money market operations and securities lending programs
  • Should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the JGB repo market and the different players involved
  • Applicants should be familiar with various financing arrangements and margining methodologies.
  • Proficient in Excel - programming skills useful but not essential
  • Fluent English and Japanese
  • Keen attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in financial markets are all essential to this role.
