The Asset Management analyst is responsible for supporting the Asset Management team in driving real estate value and executing the business plan. Primary processes within this scope include annual budgets, quarterly appraisals, lease negotiations, the building and maintaining of financial models, and ultimately the sale decision and disposition of the asset. This role requires great attention to detail, as well as strong communication skills and coordination with the wider Lionstone team, our external operating partners, and our investors.

Responsibilities

  • Key role with analyzing lease transactions and negotiating new leases.
  • Maintain property valuation files including detailed review of 3rd party appraisals and related property information.
  • Organize the preparation and review of annual property operating budgets and business plans. Assist with preparation and review of asset level quarterly reports.
  • Assist with financing and disposition transactions. Analyze hold/sell strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the properties. Ensure assets are being operated in a manner consistent with third-party management agreements, joint-venture operating agreements, loan documents, etc.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Some experience with complex financial modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Ability to operate independently, in small deal teams and with a large amount of individual responsibility.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a demonstrated willingness to take on tasks across the full range of responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Uses good judgment to appropriately handle or escalate issues.
  • Excellent analytical skills and Excel modeling capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability, with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of private equity, investment risk and capital markets preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience with complex financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated interest in the real estate industry.
  • Experience in Argus a plus.
