Search Criteria:
  1. A min. of 18-36 months in a Credit Officer / Analyst role (where your role involves rating and grading Corporate clients and companies from a credit perspective, rather than approving lending decisions) or even a Credit internal audit role. Candidates must understanding how the rating process works
  2. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively to various stakeholders
  3. Work experience from banking, financial services or a ratings agency.

About the department and team:
  • The department and team are asked to provide reasonable assurance regarding the accuracy of the Obligor and Facility grades as well as the Borrower's Category which are assigned to the Bank's credit related Obligors. These are proposed by Front Office (FO) departments and approved mainly by Credit Department (CD).
  • Team and function activities include: Continuous Review, On-site Review, Branch Credit Review, Self-Assessment (SA) Classification Review and Discounted Cash Flow Reviews.
  • This role will assist the Corporate Team and the Group in completing assigned reviews.

Responsibilities:
  • Review assigned credit applications to ensure accuracy of the Obligor and Facility Grades as well as Borrower's Category (if applicable).
  • Discuss issues found with Team Leader in order to then communicate with Front Office person in charge in relation to questions / clarifications required.
  • Discuss and agree with Team Leader any recommendations that need to be raised.
  • Submit reviews for approval by Team Leader including draft recommendations and other findings.
  • Undertake the follow-up and closure of any recommendations raised.
  • Complete any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Team Leader including self-assessment classification review or DCF review.

Experience required:
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing are essential in order to efficiently complete reviews and prepare reports / document findings.
  • Some previous credit experience and/or accounting experience required.
  • Attention to detail is required in order to efficiently review and document work.
  • IT literate.
  • Degree education (minimum).
