Overview of Regulatory Solutions:

The Regulatory Solutions team sits within the Office of the Chief Information Officer and reports directly to Regulatory Portfolio Manager. The team is responsible for the governance of all programs & projects driven by regulators, or other change initiatives that could result in regulatory impact.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive financial services regulatory risk experience, proven understanding of steering and executing organisational change ideally within Technology. This is an opportunity to shape the strategy within the Regulatory Solutions team and its impact within BNY Mellon.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Regulatory Strategy team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • The design and ownership for the Regulatory Solutions Strategy
  • Ensuring delivery of strategic objectives including CIO level OKRs
  • Delivery of strategic regulatory initiatives, including roll out of strategic technology platform (Orbit) and realization of benefits across the firm
  • Technology Regulatory Control Framework
  • Working with stakeholders to identify, analyse, monitor, and minimize areas of Regulatory Risk prior to standing up a program of work
  • Working in a consultative capacity on regulatory issues
  • Has an understanding of Financial Services regulations and how Technology supports the lines of business in delivering any associated change
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and impact business decisions
  • Responsible for implementing risk framework and identifying, analysing, monitoring, reporting, and minimizing information technology risks
  • Consult and advise on all technology risk matters
  • Supports related risk programs: audit response, regulatory inquiry, and response, etc
  • Manages complex projects that involve working with the businesses to improve controls to mitigate any deficiencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Communications and organization skills; teamwork skills; possess strong interpersonal skills to support mentoring
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Contributes to the achievement of area objectives


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a significant plus
  • Regulatory understanding is essential
