Madison Investments is seeking an individual to serve as an analyst within the Fixed Income department. The ideal candidate will possess strong interest in the investment management industry with a desire to learn and advance in a fast paced, performance driven environment. This position will be exposed to many different roles within the Fixed Income department and will be given the opportunity to define a long-term path within the group. A successful candidate will be hard working, detail orientated, analytical and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally, this role will interact with other areas at the firm to help grow the Madison Investments Fixed Income brand.
Duties
- Provide support to Portfolio Managers and Senior Analysts
- Research new investment ideas for portfolio consideration
- Produce research projects and ad hoc tasks as directed
- Provide written reports
- Maintain various databases in a timely fashion
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong interest in financial markets
- Well-versed in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Programming skills (Python, R) a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in pursuing Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation or MBA
- Intellectual curiosity
- Understanding of statistics and basic data analysis strongly desired
